The St. Michael’s Civic Club is a parish organization which is open to ALL registered parishioners of St. Michael Church, Campbell.  Meeting are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month (September through May, 12:15 p.m. after the Sunday Liturgy at the St. Michael Hall,   Its purpose is to support church and community needs.   Activities and fundraisers of the Club have included a steak fry, YSU scholarships availability, Raffle, and support of youth Parish Programs.  If interested in joining, please see Nick DuBos or attend the meetings. 

 Remember, the St. Michael’s Civic Club is open to everyone of the parish: men and women and our youth.  You have to be a registered member of our parish.

Civic Club News

There will be a Civic Club meeting on Sunday, March 15 at 12:15. The profit from the Night at the Races was $8200. Thanks to all who helped or supported this fundraiser.

Have you ever wondered where the money raised by the Civic Club goes? Our two major fundraisers are the Night at the Races and the Steak Raffle (which we did very well, thanks to your support).

  • We support our Church programs, especially related to youth, such as donating funds used for the Easter egg hunt, our youth ECF programs, and the Summer Vacation Bible School.
  • We also donated a 70” TV and money towards the 3-Tier Auction Raffle, purchased 3 tickets for the Reverse Raffle, subsidized parishioner tickets for the Civic Club MVS Baseball game and have awarded annually between 1-3 $500 academic scholarships to deserving YSU students.
  • We also make significant donations to the church to be used towards facility upkeep.
  • The Civic Club is also involved in the community, as we sponsored a Campbell Youth Baseball team this past summer and regularly donate funds towards the Micky Soroka Fund.

St. Michaels Civic Club Goals

As the President of the Civic Club, my goals are the following:

  1. Work within our membership and collaborate with other church social organizations to provide 2-4 quality programs/events per year that appeal to a wide range of interests.  One or two of these programs/events must be a major fundraiser for the Civic Club. 
  2. The Civic Club must expand its membership by actively recruiting more women, youth, and families.  We must be welcoming to all ethnic cultures of our church.  By having a wide variety of programs/events, I hope more individuals and families join.
  3. The Civic Club must continue to engage in the betterment of the community by contributing money to worthy causes, such as scholarships, cultural events, youth programs, etc.

By accomplishing the above, it is my hope that the Civic Club remains a major church social organization, representing all parishioners.
